Fall Equinox Celebration and Honoring of Elders
Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
236 So. Bedford Rd., Rt.172, Mt. Kisco, NY 10549
Join our StarVisions community as we honor this time of balance between light and dark heralding the change of seasons from summer to autumn. Each Solstice and Equinox serves as a moment for us to pause and reflect where we are in our spiritual growth and to reset this moment as a new balance point from which to move forward into the next season. This is a celebration of all that we have “planted and harvested” during 2017. As the world continues to move faster we take these moments to reflect on the positive accomplishments we have achieved this year.
On September 16th we will also give gratitude for the elders and wisdom keepers in our lives. Elders are pivotal people in our lives from whom we have received much wisdom for our personal growth. During this time of harvest it is appropriate to acknowledge the blessings of these people in our lives. StarVisions celebrates the life of Page Bryant with gratitude and appreciation for her many years of visionary leadership.
A traditional Native American drumming circle will follow to help celebrate the Fall Equinox and all that it means to the indigenous. We give thanks for the abundant harvest of 2017 and begin to look inward to focus on the light from within. Bring your drum or rattle for this lively community drumming circle to celebrate the Fall Equinox. Extra instruments will be available. All ages welcome.
